Information for Parents of Incoming Students for Fall of 2016
Swasey Central School Kindergarten
If you have a child who will be five years old by September 30, 2016 and you will be sending him/her to Swasey School kindergarten, please call the Swasey School office (642-3487) and give them your child’s name, address, telephone number, date and place of birth. Please call by March 1.

Rose is a Competency-Based Learning and Assessment Specialist assisting schools throughout the United States in designing high quality competency, assessment and grading systems. A New Hampshire resident, Rose is a motivational speaker and presenter in the areas of competency-based learning, digital learners, differentiation, and school leadership. She is an author, a consultant to the NH Department of Education, an Adjunct Professor in Educational Leadership at Plymouth State University, has been a partner in the Nellie Mae Education Foundation, and has served as Principal in Residence for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Currently she is working with SAU 16 schools to support our efforts as we move toward implementing competency based education for all of our students. Please click here to watch the video.

Fee: $10 for one session or $15 for two sessions (checks made out to Extreme Air of NH)
Time: 5pm-6 pm Session 1 Skills open to Grades K-5
ONLY Grades 2-5 6:00-7:00pm Session 2 Double Dutch/Cotton Eyed Joe/ Wheel Tricks
Forms are due: Friday, January 29, 2016. You can also register the day of and at the workshop.
A premier student Jump Rope Team, Extreme Air, will be at Swasey Central School to present a workshop of single rope tricks, double dutch and Chinese wheel tricks. These students have great skills and many have attended National Championship competitions!
If you would like to participate, please complete this permission slip and return with the fee (checks made out to Extreme Air) to Mrs. Lane on or before Friday, January 29, 2016. If you have any questions please contact, Mrs. Lane.
Jump Rope Club
Extended Day Activity Opportunity– Session 2 Open to all grades K-5.
Facilitated by Sheila Lane and Swasey Assistants
Circle Tuesday or Thursday sessions, 8:00-8:40 a.m. or Wednesday, after school-4:15pm
Come and have fun jumping rope! Learn short and long rope tricks. Work on speed jumping.
If more students are interested than space is available, a lottery drawing will determine participation as there will be a limit of 70 per day. Please complete the appropriate Permission and Release Agreement indicating Tuesday , Wednesday OR Thursday and provide the fee in cash or via a check made out to the Brentwood School District and return by January 23, 2016.
Wednesday group may bring a light snack and drink.
